What is Starbucks® Rewards program?

Starbucks® Rewards is a membership program that rewards and thanks loyal customers for patronizing Starbucks stores in Singapore. The program benefits all Starbucks® Rewards members as you earn Stars when you pay via your registered Starbucks Card at all participating Starbucks stores in Singapore, amongst other rewards. Additionally, if you sign up to receive communications from Starbucks when you register your Card, you will be among the first to receive news, exclusive offers and information about Starbucks.

How does Starbucks® Rewards program work?

You can join the program by registering your Starbucks Card via https://www.starbucks.com.sg/rewards/join. Simply purchase a Starbucks Card in any of our stores (except for stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport) by loading a minimum of S$10. Alternatively, if you do not have a Starbucks Card, you can sign up with a digital card via https://www.starbucks.com.sg/rewards/join or the Starbucks® Singapore app. You can start collecting Stars and earning rewards by paying with your registered Starbucks Card. For every S$1 you spend, you will earn 1 Star. There are two membership levels in this program.

Green level: Upon creating a new Starbucks account when you register your first Starbucks Card, you will automatically become a Green level Starbucks® Rewards member. This means you will receive the following privileges:

  • A buy-one-get-one-free drink reward with your first 5 Stars
  • A complimentary slice of cake with any handcrafted drink purchased in your birthday month
  • A complimentary handcrafted drink size upgrade with every 20 Stars
  • $2 off a regular-priced handcrafted drink with every 40 Stars
  • A complimentary Grande-sized handcrafted drink with every 60 Stars
  • $10 off handcrafted drink and/or food with every 100 Stars
  • Pay with your mobile

Gold level: After you earn 300 Stars within a period of 12 months, you will be upgraded to a Gold level Starbucks® Rewards member, where you will receive these additional privileges (on top of what’s mentioned above):

  • A complimentary drink in your birthday month
  • Double Stars on your first purchase in your birthday month
  • $20 off a single transaction OR 3 complimentary Grande-sized handcrafted drinks in a single transaction with every 160 Stars
  • Personalized digital Gold Card^

^Applicable to newly upgraded Gold members only. Gold members will receive one Gold Card in his or her lifetime.

How do I upgrade to Gold level?

Once you qualify for Green level, you will be at that level for a full year from the date you qualified - this will be your anniversary date. You will then have one year from your anniversary date to earn 300 Stars in order to upgrade to Gold level. Stars are refreshed and reset every year and will not be brought forward.

How do I maintain Gold Level status?

Once you qualify for Gold level, you will be at that level for a full year from the date you qualified - this will be your anniversary date. You will then have one year from your anniversary date to earn 300 Stars in order to extend your Gold level membership for another year.

If you do not earn 300 Stars in one year, you will start your new year at Green level. Stars are refreshed and reset every year and will not be brought forward.

What are the participating Starbucks stores for the Starbucks® Rewards program?

Starbucks® Rewards are enjoyed with spend on your registered Starbucks Card. You can make payment for your Starbucks purchase at all stores in Singapore except stores that are located at Singapore Changi Airport, other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport. This program stated here is applicable in Singapore only.

How do I register for a Starbucks® Rewards account if I’m not a member?

Registering for Starbucks® Rewards is easy. You can join the program by registering your Starbucks Card . Simply purchase a Starbucks Card in any of our stores (except for stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport) by loading a minimum of S$10.

Alternatively, you can join by creating an account via the Starbucks® Singapore app or here.
Upon successful registration, you can start collecting Stars and earning Rewards by paying with your registered Starbucks Card.

Can I qualify for multiple renewals in a single year? For example, if I earn 600 Stars in one year, will I be in the Gold Level for the next two years?

No. Every year on your anniversary date (the date you qualified for that level), we will track if you have earned the minimum number of Stars required for that membership level.

For example, if you are a Gold member, we will track to see if you have earned a minimum of 300 Stars during the 12-month period before your anniversary date. If so, you will remain at the Gold level for another year. Your Star balance will still revert to zero and Stars will not be brought forward.

What are Stars and how do I earn them?

You can earn Stars and receive rewards simply by paying with any Starbucks Card registered to your account at a participating Starbucks store in Singapore (except stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport). For every S$1 you spend, you will earn 1 Star. For example, if you've spent $10.10, you will see 10.10 Stars reflected in your account for that transaction. Do note that Stars may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in your account.

How are the Stars used?

The Stars are used to determine the level of Starbucks® Rewards membership and rewards that are eligible for redemption.

What rewards can I redeem my Stars for?

For All Members:

  • A complimentary handcrafted drink size upgrade with every 20 Stars
  • $2 off a regular-priced handcrafted drink with every 40 Stars
  • A complimentary Grande-sized handcrafted drink with every 60 Stars
  • $10 off handcrafted drink and/or food with every 100 Stars

Not applicable on bottled beverages, seasonal promotional items (such as Mooncake Boxes) and purchase or reloading of Starbucks Card.

Exclusive for Gold level:

  • $20 off a single transaction OR 3 complimentary Grande size handcrafted drinks in a single transaction with every 160 Stars $20 off a single transaction is not applicable on seasonal promotional items (such as Mooncake Boxes) and purchase or reloading of Starbucks Card.
What drinks can I redeem with my Stars?

You can redeem any Grande-sized handcrafted drink of your choice (except bottled drinks and coffee traveller) at all participating Starbucks Singapore stores (except stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport). All drink customizations (adding of syrup, espresso shots, drizzles, java chips and change of milk options) are complimentary with this redemption.

Once a Starbucks Card has been registered or added to an existing account, can it be used to register a new account or added to another account?

Once you have registered a Starbucks Card to an existing account, all rewards and Stars associated with that Card will be added to the existing account and this action cannot be undone. In other words, once a Card has been registered to an account, it can no longer be registered or added to a different account.

What is a Star and how do I earn one?

You will earn Stars and receive rewards simply by paying with any Starbucks Card registered to your account at a participating Starbucks store in Singapore. For every S$1 you spend, you will earn 1 Star. Earning of Stars is attained only through purchases in-store and does not include loading of monetary value into Starbucks Card(s).

Do my Stars expire?

Yes. Stars will expire 1 year from your anniversary date (the date you qualified for the current level of your Starbucks® Rewards membership). After registering a new account, you have 12 months to earn Stars to reach the next level. Upon reaching a new level, you will have another 12 months from the date that you reached that level to earn Stars to maintain your membership at that level or to progress to the next level.

This means that if you've just created a new account, you have one year to earn 300 Stars to reach Gold level.

Once you hit Gold level, you will have one year from that date (your anniversary date) to earn 300 Stars to maintain your Gold level. If you earn less than 300 Stars, you'll start the new year as a Green level member. Stars get refreshed annually and will not be brought forward.

Do I earn Stars when I pay with my phone?

Yes, you can earn Stars and redeem your rewards when you pay with your registered Starbucks Card via your phone at any participating Starbucks store.

How do I pay with my phone?

Download the Starbucks Singapore App and log into your Starbucks account. You can see all your Starbucks Cards registered to your account under “PAY”. Select the registered Starbucks Card you want to pay with and tap on “PAY” at the bottom of the page. Scan the barcode of the the Starbucks Card you'd like to make payment in participating* Starbucks stores to earn Stars and redeem rewards.

*Available at all Starbucks Singapore stores except those located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport.

Do I earn Stars if I do not register my Starbucks Card?

No. Stars are only awarded to a Starbucks Card that has been registered to your account.

Can I still earn Stars if I pay for my transaction by other payment methods such as cash, credit card or Nets?

No. You have to pay with your registered Starbucks Card because it is connected to your Starbucks® Rewards membership and doing so will allow us to reward you for your Starbucks purchases.

What purchases are ineligible to earn Stars?

Purchases of Starbucks Gift Cards, gift certificates, vouchers and bulk purchases with discounts applied are ineligible to earn Stars. Starbucks may from time to time designate certain product items to be ineligible to earn Stars.

If I pay for my transaction using a combination of different payment methods such as cash together with my Starbucks Card, can I still earn Stars?

Yes, however the number of Stars will only be credited to the first Starbucks Card used in this transaction. The Stars earned will be based solely on the amount paid using the Starbucks Card(s). Do ensure that the first Starbucks Card used for payment is registered in order to receive the Stars.

Will all my accounts receive Stars if I use multiple Starbucks Cards registered in different accounts to pay for my transaction?

Only the first Starbucks Card used will earn the Stars for this transaction. However, do note that this Starbucks Card will have to be registered prior to payment in order to be eligible to receive Stars. If the first Starbucks Card used in this transaction is not registered, no Stars will be issued.

How long does it take for Stars to be recorded into my account?

Each time you make a purchase at a participating Starbucks store with your registered Starbucks Card, the number of Stars earned will be recorded in your account within 24 hours of the purchase. You may log into your account through the members' portal or the Starbucks Singapore mobile application to track your Stars.

Who do I contact if my Stars balance is incorrect?

We want to ensure that the Stars in your account accurately reflects your purchases. If the total number of Stars appears to be incorrect, please contact us here. Be sure to have your 16-digit Starbucks Card number available with you for verification purposes. Please note that the detailed allocation of Stars and transaction history are updated every 24 hours.

Can the Stars in my account be transferred to someone else?

Stars collected in each account can only be used by that account holder, and cannot be transferred to another account.

How do I redeem my Rewards?

Simply inform our barista in any participating Starbucks Singapore store that you’d like to redeem your reward. You may scan the barcode on your mobile device or simply present one of your registered Starbucks Cards.

Alternatively, you may also redeem your rewards via Mobile Order & Pay on the Starbucks® Singapore app. Simply select your rewards upon check out.

Reminder: Your redeemable Stars will expire on your anniversary date, while other rewards have their respective validity period which is listed on each voucher. Starbucks may also offer special vouchers from time to time with different validity period. You can track your rewards and vouchers via the members' portal or the Starbucks® Singapore app. Please be sure to redeem them before they expire.

How will I know that I have a Reward available?

You can also check your available rewards on the members' portal or the Starbucks Singapore App under the "Rewards" section.

Do Rewards expire?

Yes. Different rewards have their respective expiry dates. Your redeemable Stars will expire on your anniversary date. While other rewards in your Starbucks account will expire 90 days after they are issued - these expiration dates are listed with the voucher. You can track this via the Starbucks Singapore App or the member's portal. Starbucks may also offer special e-vouchers from time to time with different validity periods. Please be sure to redeem your rewards before they expire.

When will I receive my birthday benefits?

You will receive your birthday benefits on the first day of your birthday month. Each of the birthday rewards will be valid for one-time use only during the entire month of your birthday.

How often can I use my birthday benefits?

Each of the birthday rewards will be valid for one-time use only during the entire month of your birthday.

If I have multiple Starbucks Cards registered to my account, will I receive birthday benefits for each individual card?

No. Benefits and rewards are awarded to your account and not to each individual Starbucks Card.

When will I receive exclusive offers and discounts?

You will receive exclusive offers and discounts by email, SMS or push notification through our Starbucks Singapore App from time to time. When you register your Starbucks Card, there will be an option under the "My Profile" section to opt in to receive such communications from us so you don’t miss out on our latest offers.

How does it work for the redemption of rewards or benefits if I have multiple Starbucks Cards?

The rewards are linked to your Starbucks account and not to your Starbucks Cards. You can redeem your rewards or benefits with any of your Starbucks Cards. Once the reward or benefit is redeemed, it will no longer be available for any other Cards under your account.

I didn’t use my reward and it expired, why do you have expiration dates on rewards?

Rewards have an expiration date because we want to encourage members to use them. As our most loyal customers, we want you to enjoy those rewards because you deserve them. We hope you will visit us often enough that your rewards won't ever come close to their expiration date. You can always check the status of your rewards if you log into your Starbucks Card account. Rewards can be redeemed by using your registered Starbucks Card and letting our barista know you will like to redeem a reward on your account.

How do I check the status of Starbucks® Rewards program level, Stars balance and rewards?

You can log into your account through the members' portal or via the Starbucks Singapore App to track the number of Stars you’ve earned, your current rewards, available Stars for redemption and the number of Stars you need to earn until you reach the next level. Do note that Stars may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in your account.

Is there a limit to how many free Rewards I can have at any given time?

There is no limit to the number of rewards you can have in your account at any one time. You can collect Stars to earn free Rewards at your membership level Green or Gold. The rewards stay in your account until you redeem them or when your Stars expire on your membership anniversary date.

Will I receive a personalized Gold Card after reaching Gold level?

You will receive a personalized digital Gold Card automatically after upon reaching Gold level. Download the Starbucks® Singapore App to gain access to your digital Gold Card. You can then use your digital Gold Card to pay via the app and continue to earn Stars and redeem rewards. Alternatively, you can also continue to use your existing Starbucks Card(s) registered to your account.

How do I use my digital Gold Card to pay for my order?

Download the Starbucks Singapore App and log into your Starbucks account. You will see your digital Gold Card under “PAY”. Tap on “PAY” at the bottom of the page and you can scan your digital card in participating Starbucks stores to earn Stars and redeem rewards.

After I receive my personalized digital Gold Card, can I use my original Starbucks Card to earn Stars and redeem rewards?

Definitely! You can continue to use your existing Starbucks Card(s) registered to your account to earn Stars and redeem rewards. This means that once you qualify for the Gold Level, you can choose to continue using your existing registered Starbucks Card(s) or your new personalized digital Gold Card.

When are Rewards available for use? Are they instantaneously available in the same transaction where I earn the required number of Stars?

Rewards are earned in real-time once you have completed the transaction when you earn the required number of Stars.

What if I lose my Starbucks Card?

If you have registered your Starbucks Card or have added it to an existing account, please log into your account through the member's portal, click “My Cards”, and select the Card you would like to report lost. Click on “Report Lost Card” and follow the instructions given to transfer the balance of your lost Card to another existing Card or request for a replacement card. Alternatively, you may also report lost of your Starbucks Card via the Starbucks Singapore App under the “Manage” section of your Starbucks Card.

Why do I have to pay with my Starbucks Card to participate in the program?

You have to pay with your Starbucks Card because it is linked to your rewards. By using your Starbucks Card, we can track your purchases and award you Stars. Also, when you register your Card, you provide your contact details for us to inform you of your rewards and special offers.

How many Starbucks Cards can I register as part of the Starbucks® Rewards program?

You can register as many Starbucks Cards to your Starbucks account as you wish. All Stars earned via your different Cards will contribute to your account's total. You can redeem your rewards that are awarded to your account using any of the Cards that are registered to your account.

However, there can only be one person registered to one account at any given time.

Will the use of multiple Starbucks Card registered to me count towards my program benefits?

Yes. The use of any Starbucks Card purchased, activated and registered to your account in Singapore will earn you Stars and enable you to enjoy the benefits associated with your membership level.

Are all Starbucks Cards eligible for Starbucks® Rewards rewards and benefits?

Yes. All Starbucks Cards are eligible for Starbucks® Rewards rewards and benefits as long as they are registered to your account

Is there a fee to join Starbucks® Rewards?

No membership fee is required to join the Starbucks® Rewards program. All you have to do is register your activated Starbucks Card to your Starbucks account and you will be automatically enrolled into the program. You can do so here.

Why is registration necessary in order to join the program?

Registering your Starbucks Card on the member's portal or through the Starbucks Singapore App, signs you up to enjoy Starbucks® Rewards benefits and rewards in Singapore.

Additionally, when you register a Starbucks Card, you receive balance protection in case your Card is ever lost or stolen. With a registered Card, you can also manage your account in a variety of ways, including making payments, online or through the Starbucks Singapore App.

Can I transfer a Starbucks® Rewards membership to someone else?

Memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared with family members or friends.

How will Starbucks contact me with my email address?

You may choose to opt in or opt out of receiving promotional emails from us. By opting in, you will receive notifications of the various special offers available to you as a Starbucks® Rewards member. If you wish to opt out of receiving such promotional emails, you can go to your account and change your settings at any time. However, you will still receive non-promotional emails about your account, such as any change in programs or policies.

Registering for Starbucks® Rewards is easy. You can join the program by registering your Starbucks Card. My Stars have expired, but I have not redeemed them. What can I do?

For expired Stars that have not been redeemed, it will be converted into ‘complimentary Grande-sized handcrafted drink vouchers (with 3 months validity) and credited into the member’s account for their redemption.

I have reached the Gold level on my Starbucks Rewards account. Will I receive a physical Gold Card?

As part of our sustainable efforts, we have gone digital and have phased out the issuance of physical Gold Cards to members when they reach Gold level, effective from 1 July 2019. A digital personalised Gold Card will be registered to your account automatically upon reaching Gold level instead.

Can a partner earn rewards?

Yes. A partner can participate in the Starbucks® Rewards program and earn rewards.

Will I enjoy any Starbucks® Rewards benefits when I make a purchase on the the Starbucks store on LazMall and Shopee Mall?

No. Purchases made on the Starbucks store on LazMall and Shopee Mall are not applicable for any Starbucks® Rewards benefits.

Will I receive any complimentary drink vouchers with my tumbler purchase on the Starbucks store on LazMall and Shopee Mall?

No. Starbucks promotional offers or discounts, and complimentary drink vouchers, do not apply to purchases made on the Starbucks store on LazMall and Shopee Mall.

I have purchased a tumbler in store, do I receive a tumbler coupon?

As a member, you will receive a Free Drink voucher upon your purchase of a regular-priced tumbler at Starbucks. Payment must be made via your registered Starbucks Card and the voucher will be credited into your account within 1 hour of purchase. This is only applicable on full-priced tumblers and does not apply for marked down or discounted items.

Free drink voucher issuance with every tumbler purchase is not applicable at stores located at Changi Airport, except Jewel. For tumbler purchase made at Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport stores, free drink voucher will be credited into your account within 48 hours of purchase.

If I used multiple Starbucks Cards to pay for my own tumbler, do I still receive a tumbler coupon?

Yes, the Free drink voucher will be credited into your Starbucks® Singapore account based on the first Starbucks’s card account.
